Which outdoor advertisements do not require a permit?

Advertisements placed on the entrance, walls of the related service, trade, or other facilities, providing the name, affiliation, type of activity, address, and working hours, not exceeding 1 sq.m., as well as non-commercial posters on city information boards, political ads, non-commercial announcements by NGOs or individuals, and official state boards do not require a permit.

Where should permission be obtained if the advertisement is on municipal property?

Permission must be obtained from the State Advertising Agency. After the entrepreneur applies, the necessary documentation process is carried out, followed by an agreement between the Agency and the municipality. An additional 10% of the permit fee is transferred to the municipality.

Is advertising of alcohol and tobacco allowed outdoors?

The promotion of alcoholic beverages with more than 5% alcohol content and all types of tobacco products outdoors is prohibited.

Is it allowed to have foreign language text on outdoor advertisements?

Yes, advertising may include foreign languages along with Azerbaijani. The foreign text must follow the Azerbaijani text and not exceed its area. Trademarks and geographical indications must be registered with the relevant authority.

Are bracket panels allowed on architectural monuments?

No, bracket panels cannot be placed on architectural monuments.

What advertising structures are prohibited on land near roads?

Advertising structures with moving lines on road land are not permitted.

Is advertising allowed on building cornices?

No, advertising cannot be placed on building cornices.

Is it allowed to paint or paste advertising directly on building facades?

No, direct painting, pasting, or other methods on the facade are prohibited.

Can advertisements be placed on balconies or loggias?

No, placement on balconies or loggias is not allowed.
